Bodies of two children recovered
Malappuram: The bodies of two children, who were missing after being washed away in Ponnanipuzha in Tirur, were recovered on Monday.
Three children were washed away while playing in the river and body of one, Mohammed Rahees (14) son of Ismail, was recovered on Sunday it self.
The search team could only recover the bodies of the remaining two children, who were identified as Mohammed Ramees (12) son of Mohammad Ismail and Mohammed Ajmal (14) son of Jaeel, on Monday.
The torrential rains lashing the region for the last couple of days have continued to spread havoc and destruction in the state. The district administration had declared holiday for educational institutions, except professional colleges.
