Vellapally hits out at KPCC chief, calls him mad
Pathanamthitta: Adding fuel to the ongoing contentious issue of allotting bar license to 418 closed bar hotels in the state, SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan on Saturday took a swipe at KPCC president V M Sudheeran by calling him mad for taking an adamant stand on the subject leaving a majority of his party men in the lurch.
Inaugurating a district-level convention of SNDP Yogam women's unit here, Vellappally said that Sudheeran was trying to annihilate his own party men. Criticising the Congress he said that it is a party of men and women who harbour deep personal animosity.
Taking potshots at Sudheeran, Vellappally said that a person who is not endorsed by any group in the party has been made the KPCC president and now Oommen Chandy is suffering for that.
Those who are concerned about the number of stars of bar hotels must visit the government hospitals in Kerala. More people go to hospitals than bar hotels, Vellapally added.
